Il vient, Seigneur Jésus, le jour où dans la gloire
Nous serons par toi-même au Père présentés ;
Alors tu jouiras du fruit de ta victoire,
Entouré de tes rachetés. (bis)

Tes saints glorifiés – ton Épouse parée –
Aux noces de l’Agneau, tu les introduiras,
Et, les faisant asseoir aux places préparées,
T’avançant, tu les serviras. (bis)

Aux célestes parvis, terme de notre attente,
Où dès l’éternité tu voulais des humains,
Nous pourrons contempler ta beauté ravissante,

Quand de la grâce immense on verra les richesses,
Trésor illimité dont rien ne passera,
La gloire, sceau divin de toutes les promesses,

Gloire éternelle à Dieu ! Gloire à toi, Fils du Père,
Gloire à toi, Fils de l’homme, à toi, l’Agneau de Dieu !
Seigneur, fais dans les tiens briller sur cette terre

wo Du in Herrlichkeit uns vor den Vater stellst!
Und dann genießest Du die Frucht von Deinem Siegen,
die Du von Deinem Gott erhältst. :/:

Verherrlicht und geschmückt, erfüllt mit Deinem Segen
ist dann die selge Braut, die Du zur Hochzeit führst.
Sie darf sich dort voll Glück bei Dir zu Tische legen,

Im ewgen Wonneort, wo unser Lauf wird enden,
den Du vor aller Zeit schon Menschen zugedacht,
sehn wir der Wunden Mal in Deinen beiden Händen,
und wir bewundern Deine Pracht. :/:

Der Reichtum Deiner Gnad wird sich vor uns enthüllen,
der so unendlich ist und niemals ändert sich.
Dann wird der Herrlichkeit Verheißung sich erfüllen
in Dir, Herr Jesus, ewiglich. :/:

Daß Ehre unserm Gott und Seinem Sohne werde!
Dem Menschensohn, dem Lamm wir die Anbetung weihn!
Herr, gib doch, daß durch uns erstrahle auf der Erde
des Heiligtumes Widerschein! :/:

Eternal glory to God! Glory to Thee the Father’s Son.
Glory to Thee, Son of Man, to Thee, Lamb of God! Lord may some heavenly light, be seen in Thine own on this earth.
